Building bridges between academia and practice & between translation, interpreting and legal practitioners

Panoramic view of Schuman bridge by nightWelcome to my blog devoted to promoting links among all those involved in translation and the law!

As a legal translator for the last twenty-five years and having completed a PhD on optimising the performance of outsourced legal translation, I am passionate about building bridges – both between academia and practice, and between translation, interpreting and legal practitioners, not to mention legal language specialists, forensic linguists and a whole host of ‘neighbours’.

I endeavour to make this blog a forum for a wide range of topics in these fields, and also invite guests to write entries for the blog.

I love to receive comments from readers – do let me know what you think!
