PricewaterhouseCoopers, now known as PwC, is seeking an experienced French-to-English translator to join the PwC Language Services team as a Manager, in Paris, France.
PwC Language Services is a dynamic team of professional translators operating in an international community of auditors, advisors, lawyers and consultants. It translates and edits documents for publication in a wide variety of disciplines, including finance & accounting, tax & legal and corporate communications. Covering language needs in sectors as far ranging as retail, energy and banking, services are primarily geared towards corporate clients.
“The successful candidate will have strong business acumen and will be responsible for organising, reviewing and translating documents for publication in English. This position is also suited to candidates who enjoy coaching and managing a small team of translators.
Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record in financial translation (finance, audit and accounting); specific sector expertise would be a plus.
Candidates should be native English speakers with first-class translation skills, strong writing ability and a perfect command of French language and culture, ideally with at least eight years’ experience of translating in a corporate environment. They should have a good eye for detail, a strong team ethic, and a willingness to learn and undertake challenging work in a fast-paced environment. Resourceful self-starters who can work independently and derive satisfaction from a “job well done” are strongly encouraged to apply.
Priority will be given to candidates with advanced IT skills and experience, including with MS Office and a relevant CAT tool.”
This is a permanent position (CDI) based in Paris. Start date: 1 December 2016.
