A new special issue of the journal Target – International Journal of Translation Studies (33:2) guest-edited by Professor Fernando Prieto Ramos of the TRANSIUS Centre for Legal and Institutional Translation Studies at the University of Geneva has just been released.
“Legal and institutional translation: Functions, processes, competences” gathers a selection of research presented at the Transius Conference 2018, as well as key findings from the LETRINT project. This issue, Target’s first ever devoted to legal and institutional translation, captures some of the latest developments in the field, with a special focus on legal translator competence, legal translation processes, quality assurance and sociological aspects of the profession in institutional settings in particular.
