The Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) is the largest public language service in the world and is responsible for providing the Commission with translation services and linguistic advice in all the official languages, thereby contributing to the EU policy of multilingualism and bringing the Union’s policies closer to its citizens.
The DGT is looking for a ‘Policy Officer – Development of translation profession’. Deadline for applications: 06/06/2023.
“We propose for the Brussels based team an interesting and diversified job as policy officer coordinating the European Master’s in Translation (EMT) network, one of DGT’s flagship projects. Moreover, the successful candidate will contribute to other files of the unit, as the activities developed in the EMT are supposed to feed into the knowledge management activities in DGT and several files such as the Visiting Translator Scheme (VTS) or traineeships are relevant for the EMT universities.
