A dedicated terminology unit at the French Government’s Groupe de travail interministériel sur la traduction has released official translations of its Ministers and Ministries, in English, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. A lifesaver for those of us who need to use such terms.
You can find the translations here.
[Update 9 July 2014: The link no longer works – this post refers to the Ayrault government and the terms have been taken down. Shame really, as one might need the titles used at an earlier date. This new post gives the titles for the current (Valls) government.]
