ASTTI, the Swiss Association of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters, is organizing its fourth Financial Translation Summer School, to be held in Spiez, Switzerland, from 3 to 5 July 2013.
Here is an extract from the programme description:
“Mornings at the 2013 Summer School from 3 to 5 July will be given over to technical presentations on financial subjects, given by financial and economics specialists. Afternoons will, as in the past, be language-specific seminars dealing with practical problems of translation work.
In designing the programme, the Organising Committee has sought to maintain a balance between themes and languages: you will return home from Spiez with information about the latest developments in financial techniques and from the world of economics, and will have been able to hone your financial translation skills and compare them with those of other colleagues specialising in the same domain.
The plenary morning session presentations will be in the four working languages: German, French, Italian and English. In the afternoons, the small-group seminars will deal with practical issues and will concentrate on specific language pairs.”
