A Swedish building firm has calculated the load-bearing capacity of national roofs to withstand Santa, the reindeer, the sleigh, and the presents. Yes, really. π
The company NCC estimates that Santa weighs around 150 kg (too many mince pies…), the reindeer with the sleigh a tonne, and adds 50 kg for presents. It even adds the force of the sleigh landing, plus snow on the roof.
All of this would easily be handled by constructions complying with Swedish building requirements, they say.
But what about factoring in an elf to unpack the sleigh? π
