… and not on the wall. The 1,404 bottles, to be precise, were seized under a law limiting beverage sales and are the subject of a ‘custody’ battle.
A Pennsylvania judge is currently deciding whether a hospital can sell the wine to raise funds, or whether it all has to be disposed of.
By the way, just to make this even more interesting, the collector from whom the wine was confiscated is a lawyer. It seems he was selling bottles to other enthusiasts.
In the meantime, it is apparently in an evidence room (hic). 😉
And there, potentially, is yet another avenue of difficulty – as the wine may not have been stored carefully by the State police, and may, to quote the local paper, “have turned to vinegar”.
I sense that the story is to be continued…
