A couple of weeks ago, a man removed a 190-plus bottle display of nail polish from a store in Manhattan, New York. Police estimated the value of the goods at more than $1,500. In view of the dollar amount of the crime, the thief faces a charge of grand larceny.
Intrigued by this, I did a bit of research, and found that nail polish thefts are more common that you might imagine. Florida, it seems, has had a whole spate of them, and it’s not the first time that the Big Apple has seen this kind of crime wave.
