Following yesterday’s post on translation quality research, you may be interested in reading the National Standard of Canada “Translation Services“, reference CAN/CGSB-131.10-2017, which superseded the previous 2008 standard, reference CAN/CGSB-131.10-2008.

Although many standards documentation is only available upon payment of a significant fee, the Canadian standard can be downloaded free of charge from the Government of Canada Publications website here in English and here in French.

Their transparency goes as far as listing (on page 3 of the PDF) the names and organizations of the voting members – which might also be of interest to some readers.
