The Dictionaries Conference 2023 – Call for papers

The Dictionaries Conference aims to bring together specialists and professionals in the areas of lexicology and lexicography to disseminate and discuss current and relevant themes and lines of research, as well as the presentation of new products and lexicographic resources, focusing on a particular sub-area in each edition.

The Conference will take place on 17 November 2023, at NOVA University Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, on site.

Under the motto “Didactic Uses of the Dictionary”, linguists and language scientists, education specialists and dictionary editors are invited to reflect on the construction, use, and/or function of the dictionary as a didactic instrument and resource.
Papers must be between 6000 and 9000 words and must be submitted through OpenReview.net.

The papers will be subject to double-blind peer review and the selected works will be published in a special issue of the journal Estudos Linguísticos/Linguistic Studies, from the Linguistics Research Centre of NOVA University Lisbon. Paper submission languages are English, Portuguese, Spanish or French, but English will be used as the language of communication.

Final/camera-ready version: 29 February 2024.
