Monday smile – Videoconferencing canine-style

Last Monday we were all about a cat, and this week it’s the turn of the dogs.

If you’re not in the UK, you might have missed the phenomenon that is Olive and Mabel. They are labradors, and belong to a very well-known sports commentator, Andrew Cotter. As he was more or less redundant during the lockdowns, he ‘converted’ to a different kind of commentary – involving his two dogs. โ˜บ๏ธ

Monday smile – Cheese coercion

Today’s Monday smile comes by courtesy of Kevin Underhill’s fantastic blog Lowering the Bar.

Kevin puts the case: “Two Florida plaintiffs have sued McDonaldโ€™s Corp. over its dastardly practice ofโ€”and you may wish to sit down before reading thisโ€”charging them full price for a Quarter Pounder with cheese although said Quarter Pounder had no cheese of any kind. Did this have anything to do with the fact that Plaintiffsย askedย for the cheese to be removed? Well, one could argue that it did.ย Because it did.
