Legal Chinese course (in Italian)

dictionary & pen with glassesItalian speakers may be very interested to know that an introductory one-day course on legal Chinese will be held on 20 April 2013 in Milan, Italy, at the Centro Shaolin.

The course is intended both for legal professionals working internationally and translators.

The day will be divided into two parts – theory and practice. Topics to be covered:

  • Comparative law (Chinese/English/Italian)
  • The Chinese legal system
  • Contract law
  • Comparative analysis of key contractual clauses
  • Linguistic analysis of contracts (terminology & syntax)
  • Guided translation workshop

Registration is now open, and will close on 6 April 2013. More information about the course, the teachers, and details of fees, can be found here (in Italian).

In addition to this initiative, the organizers also teach legal translation from English, Spanish and French into Italian.
