A regional conference is being organized from August 16-18 at the Holiday Inn, Orlando International Airport, Florida, USA.

The conference is entitled: Finding the Parallels: Interpreting in Medical and Judicial Settings.

“Many times we are so consumed with the procedures, the rules, the methods and the hows that we forget why we do certain things. This conference puts why in the forefront. Finding the Parallels will focus on the reasons for Language Access, potential consequences of lack of compliance and possible remedies. It will empower legal and medical personnel to understand the extent of their role in the Language Access equation. It will empower interpreters to better understand their partnership with legal and health care providers within the scope of Language Access.”
