The Director-General of Translation is responsible for the Translation Directorate-General. This Directorate-General provides the legal translation service for the Court of Justice of the European Union. It helps ensure that the rules on the use of languages of the three courts that make up the institution are followed, as regards both the conduct of proceedings and the publication of the case-law. The service is composed of some 900 persons, more than 650 of them lawyer-linguists, and makes use of the services of as many freelance translators.
The Call for Applications can be found here. The deadline is 15 May 2014 at 18.00 Luxembourg time, at the latest.
