The organisers of the Conference on Legal Translation and Interpreting and Comparative Legilinguistics have asked me to inform readers of a date change. It will now be held on 14-15 November 2022 (via zoom).

This event is being co-organised by the University of Verona and Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań. The focus of the conference is on digital humanities and the intersection between language and law.

17th Conference on Legal Translation and Interpreting and Comparative Legilinguistics

The Conference on Legal Translation and Interpreting and Comparative Legilinguistics that historically was held in Poznań, Poland is being held entirely online this year from 13-14 June 2022 (#LegTICL22).

This event is being co-organised by the University of Verona and Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań. The focus of the conference will be on digital humanities (e.g., statistics, data mining, data visualisation, software programmes, digital databases, corpora, etc.) and legal language.

Conference – Legal Linguistics 2021

I’m delighted to announce the 16th Conference on Legal Translation Court Interpreting and Comparative Legilinguistics (Legal Linguistics) – an event that is held each year in Poznań, Poland.

This year’s conference will be held online over 2 days, from 18 to 19 June (Friday-Saturday) 2021. The main topic is “Literature, Media and Law“.

The Institute of Applied Linguistics, Faculty of Modern Languages and Literature at Adam Mickiewicz University is organising the conference, together with Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University in Bucharest, Romania. The aim is to provide a forum for discussion in those scientific fields where linguistic and legal interests converge, and to facilitate integration between participants from all around the world. The Institute of Linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University, and Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Police College are holding the 13th International Conference devoted to Language and the Law. The conference will be held over 3 days, from 13 to 15 July 2018 (Friday-Sunday) in Poznan, Poland.

The aim is to provide a forum for discussion in those scientific fields where linguistic and legal interests converge, and to facilitate integration between linguists, computer scientists and lawyers from all around the world.

The Institute of Linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland is holding its 12th Conference on Legal Translation, Court Interpreting and Comparative Legilinguistics (Legal Linguistics). This year the event is in collaboration with the School of Maritime Studies, Kołobrzeg, Poland and Kołobrzeg will be the venue. The conference will run from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th June 2017.

Open Access International Journal for Legal Communication

IMG_1455 - Version 3Comparative Legilinguistics – International Journal for Legal Communication is published each quarter by the Institute of Linguistics, Faculty of Modern Languages and Literature, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland.

It contains articles, reviews and reports in English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Russian. The articles are peer-reviewed by two reviewers (double-blind review). 

Comparative Legilinguistics is devoted mainly to legi-linguistics (legal linguistics), forensic linguistics, theory of the law and legal language, and legal translation.
