Symposium: On Becoming a Legal Translator, London, UK
Conference – Interpreter-mediated communication with children
During a final two-day conference on 13 and 14 November 2014 in Antwerp, Belgium, the findings of the Co-Minor-IN/QUEST project will be presented.
Keynote speakers from various professional fields (police, justice, psychology, child support and interpreting) will discuss current practices in interpreter-mediated communication with children, particularly in the pre-trial phase of criminal cases.

The Centre for Legal and Institutional Translation Studies (Transius) will hold its first international conference on 24-27 June 2015.
It will be a joint conference combining two complementary events: a conference on Law, Translation and Culture (LTC5) organised in collaboration with the Multicultural Association of Law and Language (MALL), and a legal and institutional translation seminar organised in collaboration with IAMLADP’s Universities Contact Group (UCG).

The IV International Conference on Corpus Use and Learning to Translate is to be held from 27-29 May, 2015 at the University of Alicante, Spain.
As you will see from the call for papers below, the organizers are very keen that the conference be attended by, be useful to, and involve as speakers, professional translators.
Various studies dealing with the use of corpora in applied translation studies, and in translation training and professional practice in particular, have been published over the last decade, most of them carried out by scholars.
