Reporting from Freiburg – Language and Law in a World of Media, Globalisation and Social Conflicts
For this guest post, I am delighted to welcome Javier Moreno Rivero, who hails from UCLA (the University of California, Los Angeles). Call for papers – Translating Research into Practice in Judiciary Interpreting and Legal Translation
The National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT) and the Society for the Study of Translation and Interpreting (SSTI) are inviting proposals for the panel “Translating Research into Practice in Judiciary Interpreting and Legal Translation,” to be considered for the upcoming 9th Biennial Conference of the American Translation and Interpreting Studies Association (ATISA). The conference will be held on 29 March – 1 April 2018, at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, USA.
Conference 2018 – TRANSIUS, Geneva, Switzerland
The Centre for Legal and Institutional Translation Studies (TRANSIUS) will hold its second international conference from 18-20 June 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference aims to provide a forum for dialogue between scholars and practitioners with a common interest in legal translation and institutional translation settings more generally.
Virtual conference – ConVTI-2017
I was very interested to find out about a virtual conference on all sorts of topics around translation and interpreting, organised by a good friend of this blog Gio Lester, and Marcia Nabrzecki. They are veteran T&I professionals, and the conference is called ConVTI-2017, to be held on 26 and 27 August 2017.
