Conference – Legal and institutional translation policies
The conference “Legal and institutional translation policies: An interdisciplinary inquiry into past, present and future challenges“, from 20-22 September 2018, is being organised jointly by the research group Translation and Intercultural Transfer and the Leuven Centre for Public Law, with the support of CETRA (Centre for Translation Studies at KU Leuven). The conference will be held at Leuven University, Belgium.

Handbook on European Arrest Warrant
On 17 October 2017, the European Commission released a handbook on how to issue and execute European Arrest Warrants (EAWs) as part of its efforts to bring cross-border criminals to justice. Available in 23 languages, the handbook (roughly 130 pages depending on language) also constitutes a great legal translation resource.

The Society for the Study of Translation and Interpretation (SSTI) is the non-profit educational and research foundation of NAJIT, the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators, in the United States.
The SSTI is organising its 2018 Research Conference, entitled “Judiciary Interpreting: Moving Forward with Standards for Training and Education“, in San Francisco, USA, on 7 June 2018.
