#W2D2018 Registration closing soon & CPD points

To avoid disappointment, this post is to remind anyone thinking of attending the conference #W2D2018 The Value of Legal Translation Professionals that registration closes next week on 23 December 2017 (or earlier if capacity is reached).

Call for Papers – Jurilinguistics II, Seville, Spain

After a successful first edition in 2016, the organisers have decided to continue their initiative in jurilinguistics, looking at “professionalisation in language and law and exploring new areas of study and research”.

The conference, entitled Jurilingüística II: Enfoques Interdisciplinarios en el Estudio de la Lengua y el Derecho / Jurilinguistics II: Interdisciplinary Approaches to the Study of Language and Law, will take place at Universidad Pablo de Olavide Seville, Spain, from 25-26 October 2018.

‘Share and Gain’ Workshops, Suprasl, Poland

The Białystok Legal English Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Białystok, Poland has announced its 3rd international ‘Share and Gain’ workshops for teachers, translators and interpreters of Legal English. They will take place from 6th – 7th September 2018.

Glossary – International Trade Financing

The International Trade Centre (ITC) makes available a Glossary on Trade Financing Terms in English, French and Spanish. Although the tool dates from 2000, it is full of useful terms, with a nice simple, fast layout.

A specific feature of this glossary is that it contains not only the terms, but also the definitions in the three languages and these can be easily accessed through quick hyperlinks. Continue reading
