Each year, the Directorate-General for Translation of the European Commission organises one or two days to gather translation stakeholders, discuss topics of common interest and stimulate cooperation across the EU and beyond.

Call for Papers – International Language & Law Association

freiburgThe International Language and Law Association (ILLA) will be relaunched in 2017, with a legal linguistics conference in memory of Peter Tiersma (1952–2014) entitled ‘Language and Law in a World of Media, Globalisation and Social Conflicts: Refounding the International Law and Language Association (ILLA) to make law more transparent‘.

It will be held from 7-9 September 2017 at the University of Freiburg, Freiburg, Germany.
