Book publication – 4th Edition of A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting
Delighted to inform you that the 4th edition of A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting has recently been published. The author, Ken Adams, is a good and longstanding friend of this blog (e.g., guest posts here and here).
It is the only authoritative guide to the building blocks of contract language, and is in widespread use throughout the legal profession. The first edition was published by the American Bar Association in 2004.

Thanks to one of the academic authors, I have just been made aware of a really useful 179-page report published earlier this year entitled On-line Publication of Court Decisions in the EU: Report of the Policy Group of the Project ‘Building on the European Case Law Identifier’.

Speech repository of the European Commission
The Speech Repository is an e-learning tool developed by the Directorate-General Interpretation at the European Commission, to help improve the quality of conference interpreter training.
It is a vast collection of speeches, on a wide range of subjects and with different styles, and contains real-life examples which have been collected from national institutions and international organisations. Continue reading
