The recent publication of Comparative Law for Translators, by Guadalupe Soriano-Barabino and published by Peter Lang, is Volume 17 in the excellent series “New Trends in Translation Studies” (see this post about volume 4).
It is aimed at students, teachers, professionals and researchers in legal translation.
Monday smile – Book Week
Following last year’s Book Week on the blog – in January – so no rhyme or reason… 😉 today marks the start of five days of posts on books that might interest readers.
Today’s offering was published in 1993 but I think it remains just as much fun – proof of which is that the book is still available. The quality of the drawings goes without saying too – it is filled with work by exceptional cartoonists.

World Bank Report – Women, business and the law
The World Bank has recently published the 4th edition of its series Women, Business and the Law, which provides data on legal and regulatory barriers to women’s entrepreneurship and employment in 173 economies, covering seven areas: accessing institutions, using property, getting a job, providing incentives to work, building credit, going to court, and protecting women from violence.
