Open access – Electronic Journal of Comparative Law
The Electronic Journal of Comparative Law (EJCL) published, from 1997-2011, articles relating to comparative private and public law, comparative legal aspects of information technology and the methodology of comparative law.
Open Access International Journal for Legal Communication
Comparative Legilinguistics – International Journal for Legal Communication is published each quarter by the Institute of Linguistics, Faculty of Modern Languages and Literature, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland.
It contains articles, reviews and reports in English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Russian. The articles are peer-reviewed by two reviewers (double-blind review).
Comparative Legilinguistics is devoted mainly to legi-linguistics (legal linguistics), forensic linguistics, theory of the law and legal language, and legal translation.
Compendiums of euro and monetary union legislation 2014
A compilation, issued by the European Commission, bringing together the core legal texts on euro banknotes and coins has just been published. It is entitled “Economic and Monetary Union – Main Euro Cash Legislation 2014“.
New open-access journal on language and law
Language and Law / Linguagem e Direito is a new free, exclusively online peer-reviewed journal to be published twice a year.
The Editors are Malcolm Coulthard, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil, and Rui Sousa-Silva, Universidade do Porto, Portugal. The International Editorial Board comprises an impressive list of names from the fields of forensic linguistics, legal translation and interpreting, and more generally language and law.
Plain language court glossary in 8 languages
Thanks to funding from The Law Foundation of British Columbia and the Notary Foundation, Vancouver Community College Centre for Continuing Education Studies created a web site containing 5,000 plain language legal terms to assist professionals and multicultural users participating in court or legal processes.

The Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) makes available online a Glossary of Bond Terms in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
AFME was formed in November 2009 through the merger of the London Investment Banking Association (LIBA) and the European arm of the Securities Industries and Financial Markets Association.
Report – Translation & IP rights
The European Commission has recently published a report on Translation and intellectual property rights.
