Call for participation: Legal translation – a challenge to translation theory and translation practice
Debate on certification for language professionals, Sacramento, CA, USA
A discussion is being organized this weekend (April 12th, 2014 10.30 am to 12 pm) in Sacramento, California, looking at the laws and current practices surrounding certification for language professionals and their work in California.
There will be information about opportunities for interpreter certification in the area, translator certification for rare languages, laws about who can certify translations for use in filings, and the language used for certifying translations.
