It is to be held from September 19–20, 2014.

The Alexandria Project, a relatively new initiative launched last year (2013), offers a number of webinars for translators and interpreters.
It also offers other resources including online courses, workshops and training, as well as glossaries, term bases and e-books.

Call for participation: Legal translation – a challenge to translation theory and translation practice
A workshop entitled “Legal Translation: Challenges in Theory and Practice” is to be held in Innsbruck, Austria from 30th October to 1st November 2014.
It is one of three workshops forming TRANSLATA II, the 2nd International Conference on Translation and Interpreting Studies.
Debate on certification for language professionals, Sacramento, CA, USA
A discussion is being organized this weekend (April 12th, 2014 10.30 am to 12 pm) in Sacramento, California, looking at the laws and current practices surrounding certification for language professionals and their work in California.
There will be information about opportunities for interpreter certification in the area, translator certification for rare languages, laws about who can certify translations for use in filings, and the language used for certifying translations.
